We formed Las Morochas in 2003 in the city of Buenos Aires, influenced by a broad variety of styles, including tango and Argentine folk, jazz and contemporary classical music.

In performing, we search for expression and feeling - and for our own sound. We enjoy music's silences, its ever-changing moods and the variety of ways it allows us to communicate.

For us, Astor Piazzolla's work sits side-by-side with both old and classic tango and with more contemporary music inspired by regional folk styles from around the world.
